Located in the basement of the upmarket Siam Paragon shopping mall, Siam Ocean World presents seven marine themes in its walk-through aquariam. The first zone, just to unsettle you, is 'Weird and Wonderful' with no fish but a display of crustacea and cephalods. 'Deep Reef' presents the vividly coloured denizens of the coral seas. 'Living Ocean' represents a microcosm of survival in the briny. 'Rainforest' moves inland with a collection of freshwater fish, amphibians and mammals. 'Rocky Shore' introduces fauna that thrive where the land meets the sea. 'Open Ocean' introduces the predators of the main, sharks! Finally 'Sea Jellies' showcases the boneless and brainless, yet often beautiful and occasionally deadly. There are hourly 'contact' dives, whilst sharks are fed at 13:30 and 17:30 daily, with seals enjoying their lunch and dinner at 12:30 and 16:30.
