This adventure provides an insight into an area of Bangkok that few visitors know about, Bangkok Noi. Historical records point to the community being established since the 16th century. Wind through small lanes along the riverside to the local ferry for Thonburi then ride past the local market and Thai houses along Klong Bangkok Noi. Stop at Wat Sri Sudaram housing Thailand's largest image of Somdet Phra Phutthachan. The contrast continues cycling into idyllic rural pockets where fruits, vegetables and orchids are still grown. Follow a dirt road through a small community lining a railway, stopping for refreshment at Wat Paknam Pasicharoen. Take time out to feed the catfish in the Pasicharoen Canal. Head back to Thonburi station for the ferry to Pra Chan Pier, returning to base via Thammasat University, one of the leading educational establishments, and Pra Arthit Road.
