The tour starts with a walk through the historic Brera district of Milan with a short visit to the Church of San Marco which has its origins in the 13th century, although it was largely altered during the baroque period. It was here that Verdi's Requiem Mass was performed for the first time and the church is a treasure trove of art works many dating back to the 14th century. You continue to the Brera art gallery which is one of the foremost collections of Italian masterpieces in the world with representative works from all the main artistic movements. The guided tour is a journey through Italian art history and includes treasures by Piero della Francesca, Bellini, Mantegna, Caravaggio and Raphael and more recent masterpieces by artists such as Francesco Hayez, Giovanni Segantini, Giorgio Morandi, and Modigliani.

Leaving Milan we head eastwards to the historic town of Bergamo, sometimes described as the Siena of the North, high on a hill surrounded by mediaeval fortifications. An expert local guide will bring the mediaeval Citta' Alta (upper city) to life inside its five kilometre walls. At the heart of the city lies Piazza Vecchia surrounded by Bergamo's most important monuments; the cathedral, the Colleoni chapel, and the 13th century baptistry, as well as the 12th century Palazzo del Comune and Palazzo della Ragione and the Civic Tower. Time to explore the enchanting city centre before returning to Milan in time for a late lunch.

This panoramic tour is a great opportunity to enjoy the sights of Milan, which is beautifully illuminated at night as well as to discover the lively 'Milanese' night life starting from the 'ritual' of the happy hour to 'clubbing' from one bar to another (which starts at approximately 11:00pm to midnight, running until about 4am). The hot spots for the nightlife are the Navigli canal district, the trendy area or Corso Como and Cors Garibaldi and the artsy quarter of Brera. The tour will include Happy Hour with drink and appetizer and a 90 minute bus tour.

After beginning the tour with a visit to the Scala museum and theatre we proceed with a stroll through the sumptuous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (the world's oldest arcade) reaching Piazza Fontana. We continue the tour on foot to view the Palazzo Reale and to visit the breathtaking Duomo and the courtyard of Milan's magnificent Sforzesco Castle.The tour proceeds with a panoramic drive by coach past many of Milan's most important sights including the Arco della Pace, the churches of Santa Maria delle Grazie (home to Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper) and San Lorenzo, Corso Venezia and Piazza San Babila. Our final stop is to see Leonardo da Vinci's great masterpiece - The Last Supper. The local guide will bring all of these great monuments to life.

Leaving Milan, northwards to the mountainous lake district, head to the picturesque lakeside town of Como, famed for the production of silk. A walking tour of the city with a local guide includes a visit to the Cathedral with its gothic facade and rich tapestries decorating the interior. After free time for lunch, enjoy a panoramic boat cruise which provides fabulous photo opportunities of the historic villas which crowd the lake, such as Villa Olmo, Villa d'Este, and many others. Travel by coach for a guided visit of the Basilica of Saint Abbondio, a stunning romanesque basilica decorated with 13th century frescoes. Followed by a short visit to La Tessitura, the concept design outlet of Mantero, Como's oldest silk manufacturer, before returning to Milan in the early evening.
