Drive across 25th April Bridge to Belem (if possible), Lisbon's historical section. Here admire Torre de Belem. Then go to the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, a monument dedicated to Portuguese maritime discoveries. Visit the church at Monasteiro dos Jeronimos and the Coach Museum (both are closed on Mondays, replaced by a visit to Ajuda Palace or Fundacao Medeiros e Almeida). Arrive at Alfama, an old and traditional district, where you have the opportunity to walk in its narrow street and visit a handicraft shop where you taste an aperitif of Port wine. Then pass by downtown (Baixa) to admire the most important squares of Lisbon such as the monumental Praca do Comercio, Rossio Square and Restauradores Square. Drive along the Liberdade Avenue to Pombal Square. After lunch (not included) proceed to Sintra, visit the charming village and taste the delicious local sweets in the tea-rooms: "queijadas" and "travesseiros". Then arrive at Cabo da Roca (from 1st March to 31st October) the westernmost point in continental Europe. Along the coast, passing by Guincho beach, Boca do Inferno a grotto created by the sea erosion, arriving then to cosmopolitan Cascais where you will take a glimpse over the bay, return via Estoril where you can have a panoramic view of the Casino and its gardens.
